Cry Until You Laugh

The BP oil disaster has officially reached  “beyond human comprehension” status.  We’ve tracked the spill, measured it, watched the plume gush from the wellhead, top-hatted, top-killed, used robots,  hair, floating booms, and tried to stuff the well head with garbage, golf balls, sludge, cement, and Kevin Costner.

When all else fails, and you’re out of tears, you just have to let the comedy ensue.  As I love satire, I’ll share some of my favorites from the last few days.

With all the finger-pointing going on over the last month, this cartoon from Mike Luckovich serves as a humbling reminder of the true root-cause here:

And now, an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look at another recent BP disaster: a coffee spill!

It’s funny because it’s sad because it’s true. :-/
