When is the last time you heard a politician claim to work efficiently?  Okay, they ALL claim it – but when was the last time you believed it?

Enter Mark Taylor, a Green Party candidate for Canada’s federal council.  In a questionnaire asking his qualifications, Mr. Taylor wrote:

“Further, my company is a practitioner of Lean Manufacturing and I am learning skill sets there that are directly applicable to the Green Party. Consensus building, constant improvement and the efficient use of resources are just three of many tools in the Lean tool box that will help.”

Consensus building?  Improvement?  Efficient use of resources?  These terms don’t sound like government to me!  Best of luck to Mr. Taylor, and here’s hoping he can actually use Lean to make a difference for Canada.

To all US Politicians – please follow his lead!
